After the great liberation war, the former government built women rehabilitation center for the suppressed women. Later, keeping different development and needs of women as goal, it was gradually turned into women lirectorate eventually becoming the women’s and children’s affair ministry. Women’s affair’s department is one of the three branches under this ministry. There are offices in every district and upazilla level under the department.

All kind of allowances, food security, capacity building and legal function are being done through this office. Even all functions regarding children in the upazilla are implemented through this office.

This office is situated in the 1^st floor of a two storied building at the south side of the Upazilla Nirbahi Officer’s residence.
